He married Rosan 'Rose' G. KENDIG 1 OCT 1874 in Defiance Co., OH.. (Rosan 'Rose' G. KENDIG is #233.) Rosan was born OCT 1849 in OH.⁽²²⁾ (Additional notes for Rosan 'Rose' G. KENDIG⁽²³⁾) Rosan died date unknown in OH, at age unknown. Her body was interred date unknown in Evansport Cem., Defiance Co., OH. Rose is listed in the 1920 Tiffin Twp. Defiance Co., Census with children Frank and Naomi. she has listed in the 1910 census as 4 children born - 3 survive. he was a stationary engineer (Boiler Operator). It is believed that he died in a accident with a boiler explosion or a run away horse team. These two stories were both given by family members. more research is needed. I believe his middle name is Vernum. He is in the Harlan Carter family with his mother in the 1860 Wms. Co., Census. and in the 1870 census he is still with his mother Nancy Partee Barber Carter and is listed as a RR Laborer. I believe his birth date as I have it is incorrect and it was probably Jun 1850. He and his family is in Tiffin Twp., Defiance Co., OH in 1900 & 1910.
