He married Mahala Emma HOOVER 19 MAR 1892 in Paulding Co., OH. (Mahala Emma HOOVER is #811.) Mahala was born 11 MAR 1872 in Brown Twp., Paulding Co., OH. Also have seen her middle name as Margaret but family records that was provided to me indicated her middle name was Emma ?? Mahala⁽⁶¹⁾ was the daughter of Hiram B. HOOVER and Mary Ann LIGHTHILL.

Mahala died 11 FEB 1947 in Highland Twp., Defiance Co., OH, at age 74.⁽⁶²⁾ She died at her son Frank Cleaves, she lived there in a small out building or home just west of Franks Home on Blanchard Rd. a farmer, a very easy going fellow.
