He married Irene Mary WILLITZER 22 SEP 1925. (Irene Mary WILLITZER is #2090.) Irene was born 26 APR 1903 in Defiance, Defiance Co., OH. Irene was the daughter of Matthias John "Matt" WILLITZER and Anna Theresa HOSHOCK. Irene died 10 APR 1959 in Lucas Co., OH, at age 55.

John J. RUSSELL and Irene Mary WILLITZER had the following children:

3 ii. Theresa RUSSELL (#2095) was born in Toledo, Lucas Co.,, OH 26 SEP 1927. Theresa died 20 OCT 1995 in Toledo, Lucas Co., OH, at age 68. She married Vincent HERR 17 SEP 1949. (Vincent HERR is #2120.) Vincent was born 1926. Vincent died 1987 at age 61. (See Vincent HERR for the continuation of this line.)

4 iii. Jane "Sister Mary Janene" RUSSELL (#2096) (still alive).

5 iv. Carolyn RUSSELL (#2097) (still alive).

6 v. Mary RUSSELL (#2098) (still alive).
