He married Catherine ECKENWORTH 6 MAR 1856 in Defiance Co., OH.. (Catherine ECKENWORTH is #1530.) Catherine was born 1835 in Germany. (Additional notes for Catherine ECKENWORTH⁽¹¹⁾) Catherine died 17 OCT 1891 in Defiance Co., OH., at age 56. Her body was interred 1891 in Riverside Cem., Defiance Co., OH. Catherine was often refered to as "fat aunt kate' by the relatives to distinguish her from other Kates.
