Norma J. Garber, 77, of Port Clinton, died Friday at her residence.

She was born Nov. 19, 1927 in Toledo, the daughter of Arthur and Luella (St. Peter) Adler.

She married John F. Garber on June 28, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1993. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton where she was a Eucharistic Minister and she sang in the choir for many years. She also was a volunteer at H. B. Magruder Hospital and Hospice.

Surviving are her sons: Michael A. (Lorna) Garber of Wheaton, Ill.; William J. (Melody) Garber of Toledo; daughters: Kathleen J. (William) Breau of Helena; Deborah A. (Sam) Nelson of Port Clinton; Jacqueline L. (Charles) Everly of Port Clinton; Mary (Paul Redder) Garber, Columbus; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister: Loyola (Robert) Pheilis of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister: Mary Ellen Adler.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Additional visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Services: Prayer services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Ray Ensman at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton.

Burial: Private interment services will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials: Contributions may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. On line
