She was a nurse at St. Rita's Hospital in Lima, OH when she saw Richard Snider, a patient there because of an appendectomy, as they were getting off and on an elevator. She immediately fell in love with him, went to the nurses' station to find out who he was, found a reason to go to his room and become acquainted. She then, that night, called the man she was dating, and broke up with him, telling him she had met the man she was going to marry. He said to call him back if it didn't work out. She has no explanation why this happened this way. She and Dick were married 56 years

Adam was divorced from Mildred MERS 1955. Adam Umbs Jr. did marry a previously married woman and she had a dau., this woman was quite abit older than him. No further information, and additional research is needed as time permits. Also had his middle name as Alfonso.
