When Glenn was age unknown and Violet R. PETERS was age unknown they became the parents of Patricia RICHARD date unknown. Glen A "Gus" Richard Glen A. "Gus" Richard, age 89, of south Toledo died peacefully in his sleep May 4, 1998 at the Northwest Ohio Hospice Center after a short illness. Born October 26, 1908 to Claud and Minna (Hobar) Richard, Mr. Richard worked for the former Peters Stamping Company as a tool and die maker for 40 years, retiring in 1974. He was a 50 year member of Calumet Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, Zenobia Shrine, he also was a member 40 years of I.A.M., Bay View Yacht Club, Maumee Eagles and former member of the U.S. Coast Guard reserve Flotilla 1001. Mr. Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Violet (Peters) Richard in 1987, his sister, Flossie Walter; brothers, Raymond and Donald R. Richard. Surviving are his daughter, Patricia (John) Barrowman; grandson, Craig R. Barrowman and his dear friend, Bonnie B. Helminiak. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd. Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. Masonic services Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the mortuary. Interment Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children and Burns Institutes. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Northwest Ohio Hospice for their loving kindness and support.
