360. Richard A.6 MISCH (Leon H.5, Dottie D.4 BRITTON, Mary Elizabeth Alice3 RICHARD, Catherine Ann2 MILLER, William Sr.1) (#9956) was born in MI 11 JUN 1924. Richard died 17 MAY 2010 in Tucson, AZ, at age 85.

Richard Misch was called home May 17, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz., surrounded by his loving family.

Born June 11, 1924, son of the late Leo and Ethel Misch. Dick served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII as a Master Technical Sergeant from 1942 - 1945 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.

On July 8, 1950, he married Betty Jane Machacek in Riverside, Ill.

Dick was a strong family man and a moral compass for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked for Culligan Water Conditioning, Kiwanis International and the United Dairy Industry Association. Dick was always involved with activities which supported the youth of the different communities he lived and worked in. He actively engaged in projects for the Kenosha Band Boosters, and was Sunday School Superintendent at First Congregational Church of Kenosha. Dick was also involved with the Kiwanis Circle K Club at the University of Arizona and was the Kiwanis Circle K Administrator for the Southwest District. Dick was the Kiwanis District Governor in 1967 of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District. He was a member of the Kenosha Masonic Lodge #47. His passion for life was always evidenced by his great big smile and energy that he shared as he worked on any project he was invested in. Dick dedicated his life to serving others.

Dick is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lynn Misch and Lori (Carmine) Bonanno of Kenosha; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Misch of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren, Jennifer McFaden and Christopher Misch-Bloxdorf, Sarah (Ryan Daams), Katherine and Rick Misch, Nicholas (Carmen) Bonanno, Jacob Bonanno and Elisabeth (Aaron) Korf; four great grandchildren, Justin, Cassidy, Rowan Misch and Eagan McFaden. Dick is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his loving cat, Tangerine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard M. Misch and sister, Leona Crook.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Richard will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 7 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Kenosha, 5934 8th Ave.
