Born Sept. 23, 1918, at Defiance, to Bertha (Davis) and Alford Raynor, she married Daniel O. Kent in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1960. She later married Richard Henrich in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1982. A 1936 graduate of Defiance High School, she had been a purchasing agent at All Star Products for many years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a Past Matron of Eastern Star. Surviving are two daughters, Susan (and husband, Ron) McDowell of Defiance and Pamela A. (Bob) Rathbun of Delta; a son, Thomas (and wife, Karen) Kent of Defiance; four stepsons, Kent Henrich, Brent (Kay) Henrich, Craig Henrich and Neal (Diane) Henrich; seven stepgrandchildren, six stepgreat-grandchildren and 13 stepgreat-great-grandchilden. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Floyd Raynor. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. in St. Paul United Methodist Church, Defiance. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Dr. Todd Anderson to officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. September 11, 2007 Virginia M. Kent, 88, Defiance, died at 9:23 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in Mercy Hospital of Defiance.

She was born Sept. 23, 1918, Defiance, the daughter of Alford and Bertha (Davis) Raynor. In 1941, she married Daniel O. Kent, who died in 1960. In 1973, she married Richard Henrich, who died in 1982. She was a 1936 graduate of Defiance High School and a purchasing agent for All Star Products for many years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a past matron of Eastern Star.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Ron) McDowell of Defiance and Pamela A. (Bob) Rathbun, Delta; a son, Thomas (Karen) Kent, Defiance; four stepsons, Kent Henrich, Brent (Kay) Henrich, Craig Henrich and Neal (Diane) Henrich; eight grandchildren, Russ (Kelli) Dodt, Dani (Russ) Merillat, Penny McDowell and Amanda McDowell, Tiffanie (Mick) Raike, Tabitha Kent, Jami (Scott) Carter and Derek Rathbun; 13 great-grandchildren, Allyson Henry, Brayden Dodt, Ashton Dodt, Zoey Dodt, Dillan Merillat, Carmen Merillat, Emily Kent, Andrew Kent, Erin Hess, Kennedy Raike, Chloe Raike, Alix Carter and Coy Carter; and seven stepgrandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Floyd Raynor.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, in St. Paul United Methodist Church, Defiance, with Dr. Todd Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
