HURON — Karen Kay (Henrich) Good, 77, formerly of Napoleon, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, with her loving family by her side at her home on Lake Erie, in Huron, a short seven months after a diagnosis of inoperable pancreatic cancer.

She was born on July 25, 1941, in Defiance, to Paul and Helen (Ott) Henrich. She tragically lost her mother to complications from childbirth shortly after she was born. She went on to graduate from Holgate High School in 1959. Later that same year, she married Richard Roland Good of McClure. Together, they had three children: Denise Vocke, Jeffrey (Joy) Good, and Michael (Amy) Good. With much love, she later became “Nana” to eight grandchildren who all adored her: Justen (Dustie) Vocke, Jordan (Shannon O’Neil) Vocke, Ethan and Lexie Good, Madisyn, Logan, Lucas, and Lily Good; and four great-grandchildren — Will, Westen, Gaven, and Jaden. She also is survived by brothers, Bill (Susan) and Ron (Sandy) Henrich.

She was preceded in death by Paul and Lucille (Beltz) Henrich.

Nana, as she was known by most, loved her family to no end and always put others ahead of herself. She also held close to her heart many treasured friends.

Karen was unbelievably talented and turned anything she touched into a beautiful work of art. Her many skills and hobbies included sewing, quilting, knitting, and interior design. She was especially proud of her most recent position sewing costumes for the live entertainment at Cedar Point. Anyone who knew Karen also knew what a passion she had for babies.

She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed beyond belief by those who were lucky enough to know her. She truly was one of a kind. There are no words to describe how special she was. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her can tell you.

At her request there will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on November 25, 2018, at the Huron Yacht Club, located at 350 Huron Street in Huron, Ohio, immediately followed by a celebration of life open house from 3-6 p.m.

The family requests donations be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870
