25. Eaton Jr.5 CLEAVES (Eaton Sr.4, Robert3, John2, William1) (#1337) was born in Arundel, ME 2 MAR 1783. now known as Kennebunkport, ME. Eaton died 16 JAN 1870 in Kirkersville, Licking Co., OH, at age 86. Kirkersville, OH His body was interred 1870 in Kirkersville, Licking Co., OH. Eaton is buried in the Kirkersville cemetery which is located at the east end of Kirkersville on the south side of State Route 440. His grave is marked with a 4 ft. high tombstone.

He married Elizabeth STIMPSON before 1808. (Elizabeth STIMPSON is #1338.) Elizabeth was born 13 OCT 1783 in ME. Elizabeth was the daughter of Stephen STIMPSON and Mary (?) STIMPSON. Elizabeth died 29 OCT 1865 in Licking Co., OH, at age 82. Her body was interred date unknown in Kirkersville, Licking Co., OH. Eaton Cleaves Jr. appears in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 Licking Co., OH census. He was a farmer. Census records indicates he was born in the state of Maine. Licking Co., Oh courthouse records reveal that at the age of 51 Eaton purchased 80 acres of land from Nathan Hartwell on Nov. 12, 1834. The land lies about one mile south-west of Kirkersville bordering the west side of Etna & Harrison Twp. line. He purchased this land for $300.00 or $3.50 per acre. child 29 iv. Olive CLEAVES (#1341) was born in ME 1828. She married Stewart PLUMMER date unknown. (Stewart PLUMMER is #5748.)

child + 30 v. Elbridge Gary CLEAVES was born 1828.

child 31 vi. Lasale E. CLEAVES (#1342) was born in OH 1830.

child 32 vii. Marsella CLEAVES (#1344) was born circa 1838.
