He married Martha (?) NICHOLS circa 1869 in Angola, Stuben Co., IN. (Martha (?) NICHOLS reference ALICE-SH) (Martha (?) NICHOLS is #1535.) Martha was born circa 1851 in IN. I find Martha Nichols and her son Freddie and apparently she was separated from her husband John Nichols as he was living with his parents? She was listed as a seamstress. A Painter by trade, in the 1880 Census he is living with his parents in Steuben and with son Arthur age 10. I did find a Percy Nichols living in Ohio in the 1880 census living with the Jocob J. Durr Family as Nephew and was the same age and also born in IN.
