Mildred was the daughter of Verdie BORTON and Inez SHETLER. Mildred died 11 AUG 2007 in Montpelier, Williams Co., OH, at age 92. August 13, 2007 MONTPELIER -- Mildred Evelyn Coy, 92, Montpelier, formerly of Fulton County's Franklin Township and West Unity, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, in Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier.

She was born April 4, 1915, in Fulton County, the daughter of Verdie and Inez (Shetler) Borton. In 1939, she married Raymond Coy, who died in 1998. She was a 1933 graduate of West Unity High School and a member of West Franklin United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, Brady Grange and Williams County Pomona Grange.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean Marie (Allyn) Bartholomew, Upland, Calif.; a son, Robert (Georgia), Jackson, Mich.; and four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Lorene Borton Wise.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in West Franklin United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Raypholtz officiating. Burial will be in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hollingshead-Beck Funeral Home, West Unity.

Preferred memorials are to the church.

When Raymond was age 25 and Mildred Evelyn BORTON was age 24 they became the parents of Jean Marie COY 16 FEB 1940 in Fulton Co., OH. When Raymond was age 29 and Mildred Evelyn BORTON was age 28 they became the parents of Robert COY 1943 in Franklyn, Fulton Co., OH.. Raymond E. Coy, 84, West Unity, died Monday at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Motpelier. He was born in Wms. Co., the son of Charles and Emma Mae (Sigg) Coy. In 1939, he married Mildred Borton, who survives. He was a farmer and had worked at Challenge Cook in Bryan and at Bryan Plastics. He also worked at Dutch Village Grocery, West Unity for 17 years, retiring in 1994. He had lived in Fulton Co., before moving to West Unity in 1995. Burial at Floral Grove Cem., West Unity.
