He married Carrie Irene ROSE 15 MAR 1919 in Putnam Co., OH. (Carrie Irene ROSE is #1321.) Carrie was born 2 APR 1896 in Fostoria, OH. Carrie was the daughter of Foster ROSE and Mary YOCHUM. Carrie died 12 JAN 1978 in Lima, Allen Co., OH, at age 81.

When Earl was age 27 and Carrie Irene ROSE was age 25 they became the parents of Robert Earl CLEAVES 18 MAY 1921 in Putnam Co., OH. When Earl was age 32 and Carrie Irene ROSE was age 30 they became the parents of Richard Everrett CLEAVES 31 JUL 1926 in Putnam Co., OH. When Earl was age 35 and Carrie Irene ROSE was age 33 they became the parents of Marjorie Jean CLEAVES 28 NOV 1929 in Putnam Co., OH. When Earl was age 38 and Carrie Irene ROSE was age 35 they became the parents of Raymond Herbert "Dutch" CLEAVES 7 FEB 1932 in Continental, Putnam Co., OH.

CONTINENTAL -- Richard E. Cleaves, 88, of Continental, died Friday, November 6, 2015, at his residence.

He was born July 31, 1927, in Continental, to the late Earl L. and Carrie I. (Rose) Cleaves.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Cleaves of Continental; his sister, Marjorie J. Warsack of Medina; and nephew, David (Cecilia) Warsack of Medina.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Cleaves; and niece, Carolyn S. Cleaves.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a lifelong farmer, and raised cattle, sheep and hogs. Richard enjoyed fishing, antique tractors and plowing contests.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Monroe Cemetery, Continental, with military graveside rites by Continental American Legion Post 541. Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.

108 iv. Raymond Herbert "Dutch" CLEAVES (#4375) was born in Continental, Putnam Co., OH 7 FEB 1932. Raymond died 9 MAR 1998 in Lima, Allen Co., OH, at age 66. He married Margaret EICKHOLT 28 AUG 1976. (Margaret EICKHOLT is #4380.) Surviving are a stepson, Jason Bear, Lima; a stepdaughter, Margo Baer, Columbus; ....and three grandchildren, preceeding him in death were his parents. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery Continental. Dutch was a farmer north of continental near the putnam and defiance co., line on SR 634 (harris rd).
