She married Richard William YODER 30 JUN 1940 in Findlay, Hancock Co., OH.. (Richard William YODER is #3239.) Richard was born 12 MAY 1920 in Pemberville, Wood Co., OH. Richard was the son of Richard YODER and Lois WICE. Richard died AUG 1994 in Findlay, Hancock Co., OH., at age 74.

Eva May "Sussie" Yoder, 90, of Findlay, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at The Heritage Manor. She was born on May 29, 1921, to the late Henry Timothy and Vera Mae (Cleaves) Winchester in Oakwood, OH. She married Richard William "Bill" Yoder on June 30, 1940, and after 54 years of marriage he preceded her in death on August 7, 1994.

Sussie is survived by a son, Arthur Scott (Kathy) Yoder of Findlay; granddaughters: Jennifer (Paul E.) Yoder Busch and Jeanne Yoder Emerson; step-granddaughter, Amy (Mark) Saldana; step-grandson, Zackary (Bre) Aldrich; great-grandchildren: Emily (Ben) Nunez and Cody (Brittany) Emerson, Robert (Mary) Emerson, Katie, Gwendolyn and Heidi Busch; step-great-grandchildren: Robert, Caleb, and Nicole Pierce, Austin and Christian Saldana, and Bryce Aldrich; and great-great-grandchildren: Chad and Liam Nunez. Sussie was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Paul Edwin Yoder and by her stepfather, Arthur R. Moorhead.

Sussie attended Findlay Public Schools for most of her schooling except for a six month period when she attended a one room school, called Buntzville School in 1934 in Brown Twp., Paulding County north of Oakwood, OH. Then she attended Lima Central High School in the last semester in 1940 and graduated from there. She furthered her education with courses from Findlay College.

In 1942 she enlisted as a WAAC and was assigned to the Air Forces Division of the Army working with radar equipment and data during WWII. Sussie loved to travel and had visited all 50 states, Mexico, and Canada. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #3 and previously attended Central Church of Christ. Currently she was a charter member of Parkview Christian Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012. Pastor Brian Dunaway will officiate and burial with follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
